FAQ

What does Bloom Foundation do?

Bloom Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to women's health. We raise awareness of breast, ovarian, and cervical cancer, help women access screening and early detection, and provide support and reliable information to women and families affected by cancer.

At what age should women start cancer screening?

Screening guidelines vary by cancer type and personal risk. In general, cervical screening often begins in the 20s, and breast screening in the 40s or 50s depending on national guidelines and family history. Always consult your doctor for advice based on your personal situation.

What are common early signs of breast cancer?

Common signs include a new lump or thickening in the breast or underarm, changes in breast size or shape, skin dimpling, nipple changes or discharge, and persistent pain. Many symptoms have non-cancerous causes, but any new or lasting change should be checked by a doctor.

Why is early detection so important?

Early detection often means cancer is found before it spreads, when treatment is usually more effective and less invasive. For many women's cancers, survival rates are significantly higher when the disease is caught early.

Does Bloom Foundation provide medical treatment?

No. Bloom Foundation provides awareness, education, information, and support — not diagnosis or treatment. For medical concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

How can I support Bloom Foundation?

You can help through donations, volunteering, partnerships, or by spreading awareness. Every contribution supports awareness programs, screening access, and support for women facing cancer. Visit our Get Involved page to learn more.
